Product Description

The flood sensor detects the presence of water at its three brass telescopic pins and sends an alarm message via LoRaWAN when triggered. The telescopic pins detect water on both hard floors (tiles) and soft carpets. Additionally, the device continuously measures temperature and humidity. When an alarm is triggered, an audible signal sounds and the red LED blinks.

An optional flat sensor pad can be connected via cable to enable water detection at a separate location (e.g., wall or floor mounting with bracket).

Installation

FLOLWE01 PCB and Components

Inserting the Battery

  1. Turn the top of the housing counterclockwise to open it
  2. Insert the CR123 battery into the holder (observe polarity!)
  3. LEDs blink red/green → LoRaWAN JOIN attempt (approx. 25 seconds)
  4. 3× green = connection successful, 3× red = connection failed
  5. Close the housing with a 1/8 clockwise turn

Placement Options

  • Directly on the floor: The device can be placed directly on the floor without accessories. The telescopic pins detect water on the surface.
  • In bracket mount: The bracket is attached to the wall or floor using a 3M adhesive pad or the included screws. The sensor pad is connected via cable to the socket on the bracket.

Measurement Cycle

  • Flood check: continuous (always active)
  • Temperature/Humidity: every 15 minutes (parameter #4, default: 900 seconds)
  • Status report: on change > 0.5 °C temperature or > 5% humidity
  • Heartbeat: every 6 hours (parameter #2, default: 24 measurement intervals)

Function Button

You can verify functionality by pressing the button. An audible signal sounds, the LED lights up, and a status packet is sent.
