FLOLWE02 -- Flood Sensor for Aqua-Scope Monitor (LoRa Direct)
Product Description
The flood sensor detects the presence of water at its three brass telescopic pins and sends an alarm message via LoRa Direct to the Aqua-Scope Monitor when triggered. The telescopic pins detect water on both hard floors and soft carpets. Additionally, the device includes an optional flat sensor pad that is connected via cable.
When an alarm is triggered, an audible signal sounds and the red LED flashes. Battery life is approximately 5 years under normal operation.
The sensor can be linked directly to the Aqua-Scope Leak Monitor by scanning a QR code, without any further configuration. Furthermore, it can control the Aqua-Scope retrofit motor for oblique seat valves directly via LoRa -- entirely without internet or app.
LoRa Direct
LoRa Direct enables direct radio communication between Aqua-Scope devices — no network server, gateway or infrastructure required. Details: LoRa Direct.
This device can therefore only be used for direct communication with other Aqua-Scope devices. The respective devices must be paired with each other, which is done either via the Aqua-Scope App or by pressing buttons.
For every LoRa Direct device, there is also a corresponding LoRaWAN device that can be used directly in a LoRaWAN network.
Connect to Aqua-Scope Monitor
Scan the QR code on the device with the Aqua-Scope App to connect the sensor to the monitor. No further configuration is required.
Direct Motor Control
The sensor can control the Aqua-Scope retrofit motor directly via LoRa (without internet/app):
- When inserting the battery, hold the button on the sensor -- both LEDs flash briefly (pairing mode)
- On the motor, press the button twice briefly
- The sensor LEDs light up briefly and go out -- connection established
Any number of flood sensors can be connected to a single motor in this way.
Installation
Inserting the Battery
- Turn the top of the housing counterclockwise to open the enclosure
- Insert the CR123 battery into the holder (observe correct polarity!)
- Close the housing with a 1/8 turn clockwise
Placement Options
- Place directly on the floor: The device can be placed directly on the floor without accessories. The telescopic pins detect water on the surface.
- Mount in bracket: The bracket is attached to a wall or floor using 3M adhesive or the included screws. The sensor pad is connected via cable into the socket on the bracket.
Button Function and LED Indication
Press the button to test: Audible tone, LED indication, and status packet are sent. Flood checks run continuously; status reports are sent every 15 minutes.
On alarm: The device emits a tone and the red LED flashes.
